In graduate school at SCAD our UX Experience class was asked to break into small groups and redesign an app that was already designed well and improve it. My group chose Pinterest, which is already known for a nice interface. We went through sketches, paper testing, wire framing and interviews before we finally landed at an improved design with improved clarity. The result is an updated Pinterest app with easier to use buttons, cleaner icons, and an app that eliminates the unnecessary need to leave app for the help center.
